1. Write a letter to the editor

Send a short, concise letter to the editor of your local newspaper and voice your opposition to the occupation of Iraq and the squandering of our young people and the enormous amounts of money being spent on that war.

5. Adopt Sustainable Living Habits (Peace, Environment & Sustainability go hand in hand!)

6. Write letters to Prisoners of Conscience

Make a positive contribution by writing letters to those Prisoners of Conscience doing time in Federal Prisons. Start by looking for a prisoner and address at: www.SOAW.org ----- or donate help at www.prisonersofconscience.org

7. Practice Spirituality and Healing

Adopt a world view. Consider that it is in our best interests as humans to recognise that our individual & societal well-being depends on the well-being of everyone on the planet. Check out the "Global Marshall Plan". Start your journey at www.tikkun.org or www.spiritualprogressives.org
In addition, consider practising one minute of personal reflection, inwardness and spiritual consciousness at the beginning of each day.

8. Join the Campaign to establish a US Department of Peace & Nonviolence

Promote "Love & Generosity" over "Power & Dominance". Begin at www.thepeacealliance.org

9. Run for political office.

It may not be "comfortable", but it will make a difference and will also be one of the most exhilarating tasks you ever take on. Promote government reform from within the system - promote Peace, promote Universal Health Care, promote election reform!

10. Donate to Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross, or CIVIC
